Editor’s Note—October 2019

Get ready, get set, go! It’s showtime, folks! The October issue features the Cleaning Equipment Trade Association’s (CETA) Show Guide, starting on page 6. CETA is co-locating with the Pressure Washers of North America (PWNA) for a second year at the Charleston Area Convention Center in North Charleston, SC, from October 17–20 for PowerClean 2019.

CETA will kick off with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun-start golf tournament on Friday, October 18, and will be followed later from 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. by the 11th anniversary Women of CETA gathering. On Saturday, October 19, Charles Marshall, a humorous motivational speaker, will be the keynote speaker for two different sessions to be held 9:00–9:45 a.m. and 11:00–11:45 a.m. The CETA membership and business meeting and the opening reception will be held 6:00–6:50 p.m. and 7:30–9:30 p.m. To see a full list of CETA events, consult the Show Guide.

PWNA lists their schedule of events on page 30. On Thursday, October 17, PWNA will hold the opportunity for pre-convention certification courses for roofing, house washing, wood restoration, commercial, flatwork, and OSHA Safety; there is a cost associated with these certification courses. See a full list of educational courses and events by turning to the PWNA schedule.

The tradeshow floor and exhibits will be open Friday evening and Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Please note that if you’re a CETA member and want to attend PWNA events or a PWNA member and want to attend CETA events, a crossover badge must be purchased.

New Orleans’s Morial Convention Center will play host to the WJTA–IMCA Expo on November 12 and 13. One new item to look forward to is the session track for asset owners and a panel discussion on collaboration between asset owners, contractors, and original equipment manufacturers.
