Editor’s Note—January 2017

by Michael Hamline, Editor / Published January 2017

It is with great excitement that we welcome you to the first annual Cleaner Times Sourcebook! Though you will notice similarities with what was previously called the Buyer’s Guide, there are some important changes in the Sourcebook. First, this year enabled the opportunities for interested companies to include one- to two-page company profiles. These profiles provide valuable information on the company and personnel that make up the company. There are also expanded manufacturers’ and suppliers’ listings that allow a company to stand out with a box around their listing—logo, physical address, phone and fax number, website, and e-mail—as well as 20 words of text.

In addition, this issue contains a limited amount of reference material—that we trust will expand in future years—to include profiles on two important organizations. The Cleaning Equipment Trade Association (CETA) profile on page 52 provides reasons for being part of CETA, goals for 2017, benefits of membership, background on the board of directors and why they serve, and challenges and opportunities for the organization as it moves into 2017.

The Waterjet Technology Association and Industrial & Municipal Cleaning Association (WJTA-IMCA) profile is on page 62. The profile gives a brief history on the organization’s origins and then enumerates on their goals for 2017, upcoming challenges and opportunities, upcoming events, and benefits of membership.

We at Cleaner Times are eager for this year’s Sourcebook, and we look forward to seeing increased participation next year. As we move into the new year, Cleaner Times desires for it to be a good and profitable year for the industry, and we look forward to hearing from you.
