It’s showtime folks! The October issue features the Cleaning Equipment Trade Association’s (CETA) Show Guide, starting on page 6. CETA is co-locating with the Pressure Washers of North America (PWNA) at the Caribe Royale in Orlando, FL from October 18–21 for PowerClean 2018.
CETA will kick off on Friday, October 19 with a golf tournament and be followed later in the afternoon by the 10th anniversary Women of CETA gathering. On Saturday, October 20, there will be a PowerClean Kick-Off Joint Event at 8:00 a.m. followed with the keynote speakers—Paulette Sopoci for CETA at 9:15 a.m. and Dr. Michael Mercer for PWNA at 10:30 a.m. Please note that if you’re a CETA member and want to attend PWNA events or a PWNA member and want to attend CETA events, a crossover badge must be purchased. To see a full list of CETA events, consult the Show Guide.
PWNA has a list of their educational instructors along with brief biographies and a schedule of their events that can be found on page 44. There are certification courses for roof cleaning, fleet washing, house washing, wood restoration, environmental, flatwork, and commercial building; there is a cost associated with these certification courses. See a full list of course and events by turning to the PWNA schedule.
New Orleans will play host to the WJTA–IMCA Expo on November 1 and 2 at the Morial Convention Center. For a schedule of events, live demo times, and more turn to page 30.
Don’t forget to read about this year six CETA Scholarship Winners on page 16. These six young women plan to contribute by becoming nurses, a violinist, biologist, event planner, and social worker. Several of them have had the benefit to travel to other parts of the world and have been enriched by these experiences. Each of them is thankful for the CETA Scholarship.
Finally, we have a contribution from Leslie Crawford, honoring her Papa, Bob Farley, formerly of Farley’s Inc. She talks about the legacy he has left to his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. It should cause each one of us to ask, what legacy are you leaving? You can read more about Bob Farley’s legacy on page 36.
Enjoy the fall season, and Cleaner Times looks forward to seeing you at PowerClean 2018 and the WJTA-IMCA Expo. Please stop by our booth and talk to us.
